In the year of the Lord, April, 2010, the Tafi Agome Begbo Clan under the distinguished leadership of Abusuapanyin Eugene Avor of blessed memory together with the larger Begbo clans of Abuife (Ofu), Atome and the entire Agbor traditional council, outdoored Asafoatse Togbe Kpadangble and his linguist, Tsiami Amegbe at a colourful, yet sacred event at Tafi Agome.
The duo having gone through confinement and all other required customary rites in line with Agbor culture and traditions, swore the great oath of the Tafi (Agbor) people to fully assume their traditional roles.
As we gathered at the town square that beautiful day to witness the enstoolment of Togbe Kpadangble and Tsiami Amegbe under the guidance of God Almighty and our ancestors, it wasn’t merely a traditional ceremony but a renewable of covenant between our people, stools, clan, and the spirits of those who came before us.
May the Begbo clan, its members and leaders continue to safeguard the traditions of old bequeathed to us as a lasting legacy to the current and next generations.
Long live Begbo! Long live Agbor!
