Pupils of Abutia-Gbetekpo DA JHS are now compelled to study under trees after a rainstorm destroyed their makeshift classrooms.
The temporal structure, in which classes are held collapsed on 30th January, 2023 after a heavy downpour. The incident has left the school authorities with no option than to resort to teaching under trees.
The situation is affecting academic work and demands an immediate attention.
Teachers and pupils of the school are appealing to the government, individuals, and organisations to come to their aid.
The school, located in the Ho West District of the Volta Region has been in that sorry state since its establishment. Several appeals to authorities for a permanent classroom block has proved futile.
