A delegation from the Avatime Traditional Council on Wednesday, September 27, paid a courtesy call on the Volta regional minister Hon. Archibald Yao Letsa, to extend an invitation to him and his executives to be part of the 2023 edition of Amu Festival celebration.
The delegation also used the occasion to submit a letter, inviting the Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to be the special Guest of Honour at the event.
The delegation was led by Okusie Okoforobour Agyemang Chief of Avatime Gbadzeme and Onetsie Yaa Serwa, Queen mother of Avatime Dzogbefeme. Other members of the delegation included, Mr Hillarious Linguist for Avatime-Gbadzeme, Okatsie Ganusah, linguist for Avatime-Vane, Okatsie Ebedi, Mr Cantus Aganu, Okatsie Tetteh and Mark Anku.
The 2023 AmuFest is scheduled to take place in Avatime-Dzogbefeme from 5th November to 12th November, under the theme, “Celebrating the Avatime Woman (Kusakorkor) through Mountain Brown Rice Culture and Ecotourism”.
