PRESS STATEMENT:
For Immediate Release.
Sitting on the fence is not an option: join the #Enough is Enough Demo# in the spirit of patriotism to demand for credible 2024 voters register.
1. The Community Focus Foundation Ghana (CFF-Ghana) urges concerned Ghanaians to join the nationwide demonstration dubbed *”Enough is Enough”* being organized by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) demanding a credible voter register for the upcoming 2024 elections.
2. The hard evidence available to us including missing names, illegal transfer of votes among other infractions in our view compromise the credibility of the 2024 provisional voter register and this to a larger extent, threatens the very foundation of our democracy.
3. Under the troubling circumstances, citizens can no longer afford to sit on the fence unconcerned while our electoral process is being compromised sheepishly by the EC. It is our civic responsibility to demand accountability and transparency from the election management body.
4. In our quest to demanding a comprehensive forensic audit of the voter register, transparency in the electoral process and accountability from the Electoral Commission, we are by this press statement calling on all concerned Ghanaians to join the said demonstration scheduled for Tuesday, 17th September, 2024 in the spirit of patriotism and our collective quest to safeguarding Ghana’s democratic order.
End.
