Kpedze Senior High School Inaugurates Readers’ Club

The Kpedze Senior High School located in the Ho West District of the Volta Region has held a colorful ceremony to officially inaugurate its readers’ club known as the KPESCO READERS’ CLUB (KRC).

Gracing the occasion was Professor Sylvia Morrison (aka Mama Agbalenyo, development queen mother of Kpedze Todze) who is the sole fairy godmother of the KRC and founder of Links Across Borders, a non governmenal organisation in Canada which funds projects in Ghana. In her inaugural speech, Mama Agbalenyo expressed her unflinching desire to see KPESCO rise again. She urged all, especially old students and other stakeholders, to support the school with their widow’s mite.

As a sign of living the talk, Mama Agbalenyo before ending her speech, donated a brand new Acer Projector worth Ghc 6,000.00 to the school. Prior to the inauguration, she donated a laptop computer to aid the activities of the club and in this month of May, sponsored with an amount of Ghc 5,000.00, the renovation of the temporal library currently in use by students and staff of KPESCO.

The Chairperson and CEO of KPESCO, Mr Yram Gadotor in his remarks, couldn’t hide his excitement at the benevolence of Mama Agbalenyo to the KPESCO community. He buttressed the point and called on all old students, indigens, chiefs, stakeholders and well meaning individuals to follow in the steps of Professor Sylvia Morrison, and support the school to greater heights.
