VDF Calls on Government to Restore Volta Star Textiles Ltd.

The Volta Development Forum (VDF), a formidable apolitical organisation in the Volta Region committed to the region’s development and economic prosperity, has called on the government to restore Volta Star Textiles Ltd. to its former glory.
Speaking at the launch of the 7th Volta Trade and Investment Fair, CEO of African Hill Resort, Mama Nenyo I, who was speaking on behalf of the group, expressed sadness at the current state of the factory, which she described as a major industrial facility in the region that had been reduced to a shadow of its former self.

She noted that the venue for the launch, the Volta Stars Enterprise Limited factory, was strategic, because it holds significant importance for the region’s industrial and economic development. Mama Nenyo I appealed to the Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, to intervene and facilitate the renovation and rehabilitation of the factory. She emphasized that reviving the factory would provide employment opportunities for the youth, aged, women, and men in the region.

In an emotional plea, she urged the government to take action, saying “Let Volta Star Textiles Ltd come back.” The VDF’s call for action highlights the need for government support in revitalizing key industries in the Volta Region.
