Klefe Traditional Area Celebrates 2024 Yam Festival in Style
The Klefe Traditional Area came alive on Saturday, September 28, as the community gathered to celebrate the 2024 Yam Festival. This year’s edition marked under the theme ‘Peace, Unity and Commitment-Sureties for Development’, focused on supporting development projects at the Klefe Technical Institute.
Togbe Koku Dzaga XI, the paramount chief of the Klefe Traditional Area, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the government for various development projects, including the rehabilitation of Klefe town roads and the ongoing construction of an astroturf. These initiatives have significantly improved the community’s infrastructure and quality of life.
Volta Region Minister Hon. Archibald Yao Lesta, a native of Klefe, took the opportunity to highlight his government’s achievements in the community. He emphasized the importance of continued support and encouraged the people to re-elect them in the upcoming elections to benefit from more developmental projects.
The festival’s planning committee chairman, Evans Kwami Boami, emphasized that this year’s edition focused on enhancing education in Klefe. “This year’s festival aims to raise funds for the Klefe Technical Institute, providing our youth with access to quality education and skills training.”
