The Kpedze Youth for Development Association (KYDA) has held a ceremony to officially launch the 3rd edition of its annual Kpedze Youth Homecoming Festival.
The event, which took place in a cheerfully charged atmosphere at the Ho GNAT Hall over the weekend, saw in attendance the various chiefs and elders, stakeholders and the teaming youth of Kpedze community.
Also in attendance were the chief of Kpedze Anoe, Togbe Kekrebesi VI, Member of Parliament for Ho-West constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah and the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Divine Bosson.
Patrons of the event were thrilled to great borborbor performances by the various Kpedze borborbor groups, giving a hint of what to expect at the festival.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman of Kpedze Youth Association and chairman of Kpedze Anoe Development Association (KADA), Mr Ernest Senyo, said the celebration of this year’s edition of the festival is aimed at raising funds to construct a state-of-the-art community library. According to Mr Senyo, this project, when completed will provide the youth with access to wide range of books, resources and educational materials needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.

Both Hon. Bedzrah and Hon. Bosson on their part, admonished the chiefs to eschew their differences for the development of Kpedze.

The occasion was also used to raise funds towards the festival.
The Kpedze Youth Homecoming Festival, is slated for November at Kpedze Anoe and will be marked under the theme, ‘Restoring Unity and Sustainable Development in Kpedze- The Role of the Youth’
This year’s edition of the Kpedze Youth Home Coming Festival promises to be a mega one, packed with series of activities and it is expected to bring together citizens of Kpedze both at home and abroad.
